Brastel Co., Ltd. (Hereinafter, the“Company”) will comply with laws and regulations concerning protection of personal rights and personal information with full awareness of the social mission regarding protection of all collected personal information. Furthermore, The Company has established a personal information protection management system to embody the policies stated below, constantly recognizing the latest IT technology trends, changes in social demands, changes in the business environment, declaring to strive as one for continuous improvement.

  1. The personal information will be attained, used, and/or provided only within the scope necessary for the Company's legitimate business execution in the telecommunication service business and remittance service business, as well as employee hiring and personnel management, and will not be used beyond the specified scope (non-purpose use). The Company will also take measures to prevent non-purpose use.
  2. The Company will comply with the laws related to personal information protection, and guidelines established by the national government, and other norms.
  3. The company will respond to complaints and consultations concerning the handling of personal information promptly and sincerely and take measures appropriately.
  4. In response to any environmental change, the Company will continuously review and improve the personal information protection management system in a timely and appropriate manner.
  5. The Company will continuously improve the personal information security system by assigning management resources consistent with the actual situation of the business so as to attain rational safety measures to prevent risks such as leakage, loss and damage of personal information. Also, in case of emergency, the Company will take corrective action promptly.

This policy will be distributed to all employees for dissemination and posted on the Company’s website, pamphlets, and other media for anyone to obtain at any time.

    1. The purpose of use of personal information obtained in writing (including the information from websites and electronic mails) provided directly by the customer.

      The Company will clarify in writing prior to acquisition.

      The user's contact list is stored locally in the app and it is not shared externally. Only when a call is placed, the contact's phone number is transmitted as a dialed number to our servers for the purpose of completing the call and managing usage history.

  6. Procedures upon receiving the request for disclosure of personal information subject to disclosure
    1. Requests for disclosure

      Please contact the above Customer Service Center for a disclosure request.

    2. Procedures concerning requests for disclosure etc.
      1. Upon receipt of the request, the Company’s prescribed request form “Request for Disclosure of Personal Information Subject to Disclosure” will be sent by post.
      2. Please mail to the contact address above the completed request form, together with the required identity verification documents of the representative (in the cases where the request was made by the representative) and postal money order (for purpose of use and disclosure requests).
      3. Upon receipt of the above request, in order to verify the identity of the person requested disclosure, a Company representative will contact and confirm at least two items (e.g. telephone number and date of birth) among the registered personal information.
      4. In principle, the response will be made in writing (by sealed letter mail), directly to the person to whom the personal data refers.

      If the person requesting disclosure is the representative, please enclose documents to prove his/her identity and that he/she is the representative. Permanent domicile information in each document shall be limited to the administrative division of Japan and please black out the rest. Please prepare documents without Individual numbers or cover the digits with the black inc.

Privacy Policy (Supplementary rule)

In compliance with the Personal Information Protection Act (hereinafter, “PIPA”), the Telecommunications Business Act with respect to secrecy of communications and other related laws and ordinances, and the “Guidelines Regarding the Protection of Personal Information in the Telecommunications Business”, Brastel Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, the “Company”) will make efforts to protect personal information in accordance with the following privacy policy.

Definition of Personal Information

“Personal Information” means any information concerning living individuals, such as name, date of birth, and other descriptions that can be used to identify specific individual persons (including any information that can be easily collated with other information and, by doing so, can be used to identify specific individual persons).

Acquisition and Use of Personal Information

  1. Acquisition of personal information

    The Company will obtain personal information of Customers through fair and appropriate methods only within the scope necessary for the purpose of use.

  2. Use of personal information

    In relation to the provision of services by the Company and its affiliated entities, the Company will use the personal information it possesses for the following purposes of use. The personal information possessed by the Company will not be used for any purpose other than such purposes of use, except for where permitted under the PIPA and other related laws and ordinances.

    1. Identity verification for the purpose of provision, change, or suspension of products or services, or implementation of services associated with the provision of the Company’s services, including billing services;
    2. Provision of information related to products or services;
    3. Examination and development of new products or services;
    4. Marketing research and other study and research; and
    5. Implementation of questionnaires, prizes, campaigns, etc.

Safety Management of Personal Information

  1. The Company will take measures for necessary and appropriate safety management in order to prevent divulgation, loss, or damage of Customers’ personal information.
  2. The Company will establish an internal system to prevent unauthorized access to personal information and will provide its employees with necessary and appropriate education with respect to handling of personal information.
  3. When the Company intends to entrust another company with the handling of personal information, the Company will appoint a trustee company that is recognized to appropriately handle personal information, will conclude an agreement which obligates the trustee company to appropriately manage personal information, and will appropriately supervise the trustee company.

Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

The Company will not provide or disclose any Customer-provided personal information to any third party without the Customer’s consent, unless otherwise permitted under the PIPA or other related laws and ordinances.

Compliance with Laws and Ordinances

The Company will comply with the PIPA, the Telecommunications Business Act with respect to secrecy of communications and other related laws and ordinances, and the “Guidelines Regarding the Protection of Personal Information in the Telecommunications Business”.

Disclosure, Correction, etc. of Personal Information

If a person who has provided personal information requests any disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, etc. of his/her own personal information, the Company will take appropriate responses to such request within a reasonable scope via a customer service center of the Company. For inquiries, please contact the Company’s customer service center.

Inquiry Regarding Handling of Personal Information

The Company will address any inquiry from a Customer with respect to the Company’s handling of personal information via the Company’s customer service center.
